{ Erth-day cake }

So Kelsi's birthday is coming up this weekend and for the past month all she's been talking about is her "erth-day cake." When I ask her what kind of cake she wants tells me "ice cream & brownie chocolate." She also loves anything that has to do with princesses, esp. Cinderella. Here are some cakes I have made for past birthdays for my kids.

So does anyone out there have any great & easy ideas for Kelsi's 3rd birthday cake?
I'm kind of hitting a creative block right now so I'll take any help I can get. :)

  1. wow! I had no idea you made cakes. They look so great! I don't have any ideas because I'm not that creative but I'm just amazed at your cake making ability that you've been so humble about.

  2. Um, can I hire YOU to make a cake for Mattson?! Thos are so good! I can't do anything like that at all! That would be why I like Sam's Club and Costco Bakeries! :)

    I'd say google princess cakes or cinderella. Most of the ones I saw, were similar to your castle cake. The cinderella ones look like they put a cinderella barbie in the cake...and the cake part is the skirt of her dress!

  3. My sister did a princess crown on top of a pillow and Breanna got to keep the crown. It's really simple. I'll email you pictures of some of the cakes my sister has done for my kids. :)

  7. Well, before all of you are too impressed with my cake making abilities you should know I always have help from Marcus and sometimes even my mom to make it happen. I think it is fun to have a special cake esp. since birthdays only come once a year!

    By the way Vanessa, you & Kelsi have the same birthday - January 31st, right? I hope you have a great birthday also and that all your wishes come true!

  10. Holy cow - those look awesome! You do great work. :) Have you seen the cake molds where you do a cake that's like a 3-D skirt for Barbie doll - and then you stick her in the top of it? (did any of that even make sense?)

  11. DANG! Those are some pretty sweet cakes! I cannot bake and also the old 1970s oven in my current home doesn't bake properly. What a cool talent. I'm jealous!
